The Prelite is a pre-insulated and lightweight plenum box that can be very quick to install in contrast with those fabricated from sheet metal which require insulation as a second operation. Its lightweight properties allow it simply to sit on top of the ceiling grid, generally obviating the need for support from the soffit.
The Prelite plenum box is fabricated from 20mm Prelite rigid phenolic insulation panel, making it over 80% lighter than metal equivalents. Available with either top or side entry inlet, it can accommodate any size of grille or linear diffuser.
This combination of lightness and pre-insulation can reduce plenum box installation time by 25% and costs by 20%.
